Way to go Jenna Talackova

In a news conference televised on CNN found here Jenna talks about the decision of the Miss Universe Pageant and I have to commend this young lady since she seems to really get it.

Again she stated simply, "I am a woman", which is what she is.  She is not a trans-woman, a transgender woman, nor a transsexual woman. She was cured when she had her SRS and is simply a woman. How refreshing to here her call herself transgender, transsexual or trans anything because she is none of those.

Hopefully she will not be corrupted by the groping hands of the transgender loons and will remain steadfast in her opinion that she is simply "a woman".

Yes, despite "transgender" all over that CNN page, Talackova and her lawyer could not have been clearer.

But I suspect the groping hands will not let go so easily.

The woman to her left (who obviously prepared the statement) is Gloria Allred. That's what a REAL feminist is like.

Well-played, Jenna. Well-played.

Sorry to say, Liz, that the CNN article already put the groping hands of transgender loons on her. The mention of GLAAD - a known hate group - probably has something to do with that.

*sigh*

In my personal opinion GLAAD is a hate group, I should have said.

Anyone know if Jenna asked for their involvement? Vampires can't come into your house unless you invite them.

Unfortunately the "transgender" tag is all over this story. It makes me sick clear through to my stomach. Anyone who thought they would stay clear was living in cloud cuckoo land. Ijust hope Jenna continues to keep stating clearly and simply she is a woman who used to have a medical issue but got cured.

I would be totally surprised and sorely disappointed if Jenna were to compromise herself by changing her tune.

She clearly stated the simple fact that she is woman in her prepared statement. That statement prepared no less by a towering feminist, Gloria Allred.

I am actually feeling good about this as it just might put the TeeGees in their place, which is OFF the backs of women.

Well played Donald. Trump is laughing all the way to the bank and there is more to come. Now the Maggies of the world can weigh in and call for a boycott bringing further publicity to this meat market show. And that's just Act 2.

GLADD is a hate group they are heterophobic and anti transitional values.

@NYF - I trust you meant to type "Traditional Values" instead of "Transitional?" But yeah, I think they're a hate group too - just had to qualify it as opinion to cover Liz's ass. Too bad the SPLC will never list them as such, but that's a whole 'nother discussion, innit?

Reading the news reports carefully, it seems GLAAD is an uninvited party crasher, but that might be "cover." Either way, they appear eager to play "stick the dick back on" for no other reason than that they know it hurts. Pure f*ckin' evil. Values? That's not liberal or conservative, it's not Christian, and it's not representative of any real gay or lesbian people I know - it's just evil.

@Deena's attempt to divert anger onto Trump for turning two nickels into three notwithstanding, I think she's right that this whole beauty contest thing is a setup. Someone already a public figure with an easy-to-find, recent "identifies as transgender" out there, and Trump's responses are coming in way too fast. I smell something too.

Gawd, it's so easy to forget how simple this all is. Man before, had operation, woman now. That's all there is to it.

On the other hand there is this nagging doubt that, as a result of GLAAD's huge acceptance amoung the "progressive", media moguls, (gee, I wonder why), GLAAD may in fact be able to turn this to their advantage. That would be sad.

Astonishing that so many media organizations allow their copy-editing to be done out of a book written (at least in part) by an admittedly unstable person who was officially declared by the military to be too mentally ill to hold a job, innit?

I'm all for hiring people with disabilities and all that, but where's the "reasonable accommodation" (read: level-headed oversight) part?
